Oakham Pride 2023 is fast approaching, and the team are looking for volunteers to help support the annual event.

The inaugural Oakham Pride took place on 25 June last year, and was attended by nearly 1000 local people, who enjoyed live music, games, stalls and a Pride March through Oakham town centre.

This year the event is returning on 17 June, and the Pride committee are looking for people to help make the inclusive event a success.

As a volunteer you will:

  • sell raffle tickets
  • collect donations
  • leaflet drop
  • steward
  • litter pick
  • help attendees enjoy the LGBT+ event

You will get a packed lunch as a 'thank you'.

To find out more, email [email protected] or find the group on Facebook.

Alternatively, find out more about the group's recent offer of 'education and signposting' following the denial of a request for funds to support the event by Oakham Town Council.

Oakham Pride is set to take place on 17 June. Find out more on our What's On page, where you can see other local events and more!

Following Oakham Pride, South Witham Pride and Family Day is set to take place on 24 June. Find out more here.
