Voting closes this Friday for Alicia Kearns’ competition to find Rutland and Stamford’s favourite independent shop

Voting will close on Friday 31st January to decide on Rutland and Stamford's favourite independent shop of 2024-5. 

Set up by local MP Alicia Kearns, over 250 nominations were submitted for local businesses from across Rutland, Stamford, South Kesteven and the Harborough Villages. 

Voting is currently still open on Alicia Kearns' website, closing this Friday. 

There are 15 different categories to vote on: 

  • Beauty, pampering and wellness,  
  • Bookshop,  
  • Butcher,  
  • Cafe,  
  • Children and babies,  
  • Clothing and accessories,  
  • Craft and hobby,  
  • Farm and produce,  
  • Food and drink,  
  • Garden Centre,  
  • Gifts and stationery,  
  • Homeware,  
  • Pharmacy,  
  • Village Shop,  
  • Special Commendation 

The winners will be announced in February. Click here to vote on your favourite local businesses.
