Rutland has a long military history, with multiple military bases located across the county and a patriotic community who stand in support with their serving peers.

Run by veterans for veterans, Oakham's wellbeing hub is aimed at supporting military veterans and their families living and working in the local area.

A spokesperson for the group said: "Are you an Armed Forces Veteran or do you know someone who is? Would you like some support for you and yours? The Veterans Wellbeing Hub is held monthly at Oakham Baptist Church on the third Wednesday of each month 10:30am until 12:30pm.

"Why not come along and join us? We have access to the DWP Armed Forces Champion for all your benefits advice plus we can refer you for support with our partner organisations for a number of issues. Here to help you and your mental health and wellbeing."
