Looking for plans this October half term? Here's a few of our top picks of events and activities going on in Oakham and Rutland.

Half Term at Rutland Farm Park

There's heaps going on at Rutland Farm Park this half term.

Spooky Sunday on 27th October is jam packed with Halloween fun, including face painting, hunt the witch, apple bobbing, scavenger hunt and more. Get a FREE bag of animal food if you come dressed up in your spookiest outfit.

There is also pumpkin carving on Friday 18th and 25th October at 11am and 2pm. This is a great opportunity to unleash your creativity and create your ideal pumpkin. Open to all skill levels, this event costs £8 per pumpkin and all children must be supervised by adults.

Pumpkin Picking

If you fancy feeling thoroughly autumnal, why not go pumpkin picking. This activity is available at Rutland Pumpkins.

Rutland Pumpkins at Raddleman's Farm near Oakham is free to enter. The patch is open for pumpkin picking between 10am and 4pm on 19th, 20th, 24th-27th October and 10am to 1pm on 30th and 31st October.

There will also be a bale tower and maze, ride-on toys for toddlers, undercover seating for parents to have a coffee while the kids play and a special event the weekend of 26th - 27th October that has yet to be revealed.

Halloween at Burley House

Burley House's Spookatular Halloween Trail returns again this year. Put on your wellies and get ready to crunch through some autumn leaves following their spooky trail. Explore hidden pathways around Burley's Sculpture Garden to compete your trail sheet and get rewarded with a tasty treat.

Burley is also hosting Halloween craft sessions between 23rd - 31st October. Open to all ages and abilities, all materials are provided so everyone is welcome to come along and get stuck in.

Halloween Fun at Belvoir Castle's Adventure Playground

For a family day out filled with spooky fun, visit Belvoir Castle's Adventure Playground for their Halloween Trail.

Help Betty the Witch and her sisters find the ingredients they need for their Halloween Spell so they can create their spooktacular charm to protect Belvoir Castle.

There is also the chance to unleash your creativity with Pumpkin Painting.
