Mango & The Moon Summer Soirée

Enjoy two evenings of super shopping deals and a cheeky glass of fizz on 29 and 30 June 2023. 

From 3 - 9pm, head into the store on Mill Street, Oakham, to pick up some bargains, socialise and enjoy some fizz and nibbles on the house. 

There will also be visiting brands, as well as their regular sellers, including Olive and Wallis, Haus Made, Little Print Gifts and more.

Book Signing

On 1 July, Tracey Dene Powell, local author, will be hosting a book signing in the heart of Oakham. 

The team at Walkers Book Shop in Oakham High Street are absolutely delighted to welcome Tracey Dene Powell into their shop to celebrate her fantastic new book, 'Oncar's Adventure at Rutland Water'.

They said: "This amazing new children's book champions the nature of our beautiful county and inspires young people to get out and explore, spend some family time together and read."

No tickets are required, so please do just pop by and enjoy the fun!

Live Music in Cutts Close

On Saturday 1 July, Rutland Concert Band will be performing at Cutts Close as a part of Oakham Town Council's live music season. 

Music starts at 6pm and goes on until 9pm. 

Entry is free.

Following this, on Sunday 2 July, Hathern Band will be performing in Cutts Close.

Music starts at 2:30pm and goes on until 4:30pm. 

Oakham Town Council provide chairs, but you may bring your own blanket, chairs and a picnic.

Extonbury

On Saturday 1 July, head over to Exton to join the annual fundraising festival Extonbury - Rutland's very own Glastonbury, on a budget and for a great cause!

Last year the team raised over £6,000. Can we help them beat that target?

Tickets cost only £15 on the gate.

Bring your own beer and picnic or buy drinks and food on site. 

All funds raised go to Air Ambulance and British Heart Foundation.

Quiz Night

On Sunday 2 July at 6pm, The Fox and Hounds in Knossington are hosting their monthly quiz night. 

£2pp entry fee and £50 cash prize for the winning team. Max 8 people per team.
