Join in with a host of events in and around Rutland this weekend, including writing workshops, family fun, free activities and a foodie-friendly evening event.

Thursday Night Dinner at The Fox and Hounds

The Fox and Hounds' regular Thursday Night meal deal will be going ahead on 3 August - kicking the weekend off early.

For just £12, enjoy a delicious dinner of gammon, egg, chips and peas. Add a pint of Atlantic Pale Ale for £3.

The team will also be hosting their monthly quiz night on Sunday 6 August from 6pm.

Family Fun Day

Join the team at Gates Garden Centre as they celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the family-run business with a weekend event for all to enjoy on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 August! 

Their family fun weekend will include a traditional fun fair, live music, falconry displays, vintage vehicles, tethered balloon rides (weather permitting), and product demonstrations.

Summer Fun Day Fundraiser

As they launch their new Pigsty and woodland areas, the team at Rutland Farm Park are getting ready to host a Summer Fun Day.

On Sunday 6 August, the farm will be open to families with a range of entertainment opportunities available on the day.

These will include:

  • live music
  • hedgehog information
  • face paining
  • crafts
  • tombola
  • bar
  • and more

All funds raised will go to Blood Cancer UK in memory of 'the big friendly giant', Richard.

Live Music in Cutts Close

Funked Up will be performing at Cutts Close on 6 August 2023. 

Music starts at 2:30pm and goes on until 4:30pm. 

There will be chairs provided by Oakham Town Council, but feel free to bring a blanket/chairs and a picnic. 

Entry is free.
