There's loads going on this weekend with a host of events taking place in and around Oakham and Rutland this weekend, from live music and produce competitions to an art exhibition and all-you-can-eat Tex Mex food!

Ammanti String Trio at All Saints' Church Oakham

The last summer concert at All Saints' Church is the Ammanti Trio, featuring Katherine Collison on violin, Andrew Ware on viola and Philippa Jones on cello.

They will be playing pieces including Beethoven, Schubert and Dohnanyi.

The concert will be taking place on Saturday 6th September with doors open at 6.45 for a 7.30 start.

AMMANTI STRING TRIO

Oakham Art Collective at Victoria Hall

As part of Northants and Rutland Open Studios, Oakham Art Collective will be at Victoria Hall between Wednesday 3rd September to Sunday 7th September and Wednesday 10th September to Sunday 14th September, from 10am to 4pm.

There will be an exhibition of seven local artists, who work across a variety of mediums including oil paintings, pastel, acrylic, mixed media and textiles.

This is a great opportunity to meet the artists, hear about their inspiration and creative process, and pieces will be available to buy too.

A Complete Unknown Film Showing at Rutland County Museum

Rutland County Museum are showing new film A Complete Unknown, staring Timothee Chalamet, telling the story of 19-year-old Bob Dylan, following his rise to fame.

All-You-Can-Eat Friday at Rutland Garden Village

Rutland Garden Village are holding all-you-can-eat Friday Night Dinners, each week on a different theme.

On Friday 5th September, the theme will be Tex-Mex, serving up chilli, ribs, nachos, and macaroni cheese for just £15 per person. For under 12s, the meal costs £7.

Friday all-you-can-eats at Rutland Garden Centre

Cottesmore Craft and Produce Show

The 16th Annual Cottesmore Craft and Produce Show is taking place on Sunday 7th September from 2pm.

Bring your competition entries to the village hall between 9am and 11am, ready for judging at 11am. The show will open from 2pm and everyone is welcome.

Refreshments, tombola and raffle.
