There's loads going on this weekend with a host of events taking place in and around Oakham and Rutland this weekend, from Pride to Guided Tours of Oakham.

Juror #2 at Rutland County Museum

Arts for Rutland are showing the Clint Eastwood film Juror #2 at Rutland County Museum on Thursday 7th August.

The film follows a family man, Justin Kemo (Nicholas Hoult), who finds himself as a Juror in a high-profile murder trial facing a huge moral dilemma.

Tickets for this film showing are £12 and the film starts at 7.30pm. Licensed bar available at the venue for drinks.

Tour and Tea - Guided Tour of Oakham

Oakham Castle has put on a new event - Tours and Teas - combining a fascinating guided tour of the historic town centre, followed by refreshing tea and cake at the Castle Café.

Spaces are limited on each tour so it is important to book your spot - tickets cost £14.00. Click here to find out more.

Rutland and Stamford Pride

Pride is returning to Oakham on Sunday 10th August, with celebrations in Oakham Town Centre.

The day will kick-off with a parade from Cutt's Close park, meeting at 10am and beginning at 10.15am. The parade will march to Oakham Marketplace where the main event will take place throughout the day.

Oakham Town Centre has got in the spirit of the event, with local businesses decking out their windows in rainbows to support the event. A window competition will be judged on the day.

There will be performances from Teddi the Drag Queen, Grant Carter, Red Ammunition, Sapphire, Sir Lady Muck, Berrylicious, Gutter, Miley Virus, Miss Hannah Rack, Mx Holly Would, Gabriella Pineda-Rodrgues, James Edmonds, Ages, Paul McClure, KNYLIA, 2020 vision and more. 

There will also be a fun fair by Revolution Disco and Leisure.  

If you work up an appetite partying, there will be food provided by local vendors, including Wah Gwann Jamaican Cuisine, Griff's Pizza, Bake-a-Medic, El Ajolote Mexican Food, Oakham's Hungry Birds, and Smok'n Greek BBQ.

Lord Nelson Summer Party

On 10th August, The Lord Nelson in Oakham will be hosting their summer party.

This family friendly event will include music, balloon modelling, face-painting and plenty for everyone to get involved with.

They will also be holding happy hour drinks between 12 noon and 4pm, as well as serving their usual popular menu of food and drinks in the beer garden.
