Bridget Jones: Mad about the Boy showing at Rutland County Museum

As part of their Cinema for Rutland series, Rutland County Museum will be showing the latest in the Bridget Jones series Mad about the Boy with Arts for Rutland.

The film focusses on single mother Bridget Jones who takes a jump back into the dating pool, finding herself caught between a younger man and her son's science teacher.

Autumn Tree Walk with Monty Cholmeley at Easton Park

Join trained woodworker and arboriculturist Monty Cholmeley for an exclusive autumn walk around Easton Park looking at the trees, exploring bark patterns, foliage and flowers.

Easton Park is not normally open to the public so this a rare opportunity.

'The Autumn of My Years' at All Saints' Church

Oakham School presents The Autumn of My Years by Uppingham writer and actor Henry Dawe.

The playing of this special audio play will take place at All Saints' Church in Oakham from 2pm, with a special post-play discussion.

This event is free to attend and encourages the discussion of the theme of inter-generational friendship. Donations will be collected for Age UK Leicester Shire and Rutland.

Rutland Sinfonia at Oakham School Chapel

As part of their 50th anniversary season, Rutland Sinfonia presents Grieg Piano concerto at Oakham School Chapel.

Featuring conductor Paul Hilliam and Robert Markham on piano, the show will take place on Saturday 4th October at 7.30pm.
