Today, Thursday 4 May, voters country wide are heading to the polls to vote for the individuals who will be representing them in town, parish and county council.

Residents will have their chance to elect who they want to represent them until 10am this evening, with the results being announced overnight and through the following day.

The size of the ward, the overall voter turnout and whether there are any recounts are just some of the factors that will have an effect on what time the results will be announced.

Rutland County Council will begin counting votes at 10am on Friday 5 May 2023. Follow Oakham Nub News throughout the day for updates.
