New measures are being trialled by Rutland County Council to reduce verge side parking around Rutland Water in response to concerns about road safety and environmental damage.

Inconsiderate parking on footways, cycle tracks and verges can cause road safety issues and obstruct emergency access, as well as damaging plants and wildlife in environmentally sensitive areas.

On Sunday (April 28), with the previous day's high winds having abated, the Rover Cup (Mixed Competition) was contested on the Greetham Valley Golf Club Lakes course with Adam Clegg (4) scoring 40 Stableford points and only taking third place!

Adam was particularly strong on the back half which he completed in one under gross, thanks to birdies on 15 and 18, and recorded a total of 13 pars in total.

Kicking off at 2pm at Oakham United's football ground in Barleythorpe there's a raffle, barbecue, live music and much more.
