Rutland's Festival of Remembrance Concert in support of the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal will take place on Friday 10 October.

The event will take place at St George's Barracks North Luffenham LE15 8HG at 6:30pm and tickets cost £25.

All funds raised will go to the Royal British Legion. Buy tickets here.

Organiser, the Lord-Lieutenant of Rutland, Dr Sarah Furness, said: "Join us at the second Rutland Festival of Remembrance Concert to support the Royal British Legion's annual Poppy Appeal. The event will follow a similar pattern to last year's very popular and successful event at Uppingham School. It will start with drinks and canapes, followed by an evening which will be a hybrid between the 'last night of the proms' and a concert. There will be moving performances from Rutland's schools, the Military Wives' Choir, the Rutland Ladies Choir and the Cadet Band. This event will take place at St George's Barracks in North Luffenham, LE15 8HG on Fri, Nov 10, 2023 at 19:00 GMT. Stepping behind 'the wire' is a privilege and it could be a last chance to visit St George's, which is due to close."

As this venue is inside one of Rutland's military installations there has to be a degree of security. Please be prepared to provide the registration number of the car you will be arriving in and please ask all guests to bring their passport or other photo ID with them.

Don't miss out on this unforgettable evening . Mark your calendars and join us at the Rutland Festival of Remembrance Concert 2023. Together, let's honour and remember those who have served our nation with unwavering courage and dedication.
