At Rutland County Museum, discover iconic pottery designs from the past which are still much-loved today.
The 1950s was an exciting and innovative period for ceramic design. Potteries set about changing the shape and pattern of everyday tableware with new freeform shapes and bold, stylised, and abstract decoration. The exhibition includes examples from the main producers of this new distinctive style including Midwinter, Ridgway, Poole and Hornsea.
The exhibition can be viewed for free during the museum's regular opening hours of Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 10am - 4pm.
