Lyddington Village Fete will be taking place on Saturday 13 May 2023 between 1:30pm and 4:30pm.

This popular annual event is held on the village green in the heart of this picturesque Rutland village. A quintessential traditional English day out, there will be delicious refreshments and entertainment for everyone, including a raffle, tombola, fun dog show and a static display of classic cars and motorcycles.

Children will have plenty of fun and games to keep them busy, including a circus performer who will give children (and adults!) the chance to try tightrope walking, juggling and plate spinning, as well as showing off some magic.

There will be stalls selling plants, bric-a-brac, toys and books, and a tea tent offering homemade cakes and preserves and a Pimms tent offering grown-up refreshment. And when all the fun makes you really hungry, you can enjoy a classic burger from the BBQ.

Music from the Gretton Silver Band provides the perfect background to the cheerful atmosphere.

Entry to the fete is free for everyone, and all the money raised goes towards maintaining the historic church of St Andrew, the Village Hall, and other local projects.
