Picture Gallery: Oakham shops re-open after coronavirus rules relax

Rutland photographer Barney Staniland has been out and about capturing some great images of Oakham's local businesses as they gradually re-open following weeks of lockdown.

The owner of BGS Photography, Barney said: "I went and had a walk around Oakham capturing some images from the great independent shops and businesses we have here.

"As we gradually return to normal, it's incredibly important to support these businesses so hopefully the pictures will help get people back in the high street."

He visited some of the town's favourite locations, including Strays, Snapdragon, Fika, Gladwells, Pollen Floristry, Hungry Birds, Obsession and Quirky Bird Gifts to remind us what we've been missing during the coronavirus pandemic.

Barney is an award-winning family photographer based in Oakham. He takes a natural, relaxed, approach to photographing people, whether it's families, couples, newborns or events such as christenings and weddings.
