Rutland Police are appealing for witnesses after an incident in Manton over the weekend.

According to PC Edd McKinnon, himself and PCSO Lyall attended a Manton on Saturday night after a teenage birthday party got out of hand.

The PC reported that a 'teenage birthday party sadly became unmanageable owing to gate-crashers, resulting in groups of youths, some very drunk, roaming around the village and causing a nuisance.

'PCOS Lyall and I have attended and dispersed people, the overwhelming majority of which were respectful and just trying to get collected to home.

'Sadly though, as is often the case, a small majority of people have spoiled it for the wider group.'

The statement goes on to say that a wider investigation into the incident has been launched, asking any Manton residents that discover anything that shows a crime has taken place to report it to the police.

They are also asking for any CCTV, doorbell camera or phone footage also be submitted to PC McKinnon to help identify anyone suspected of offences.
