Oakham Nub News has teamed up with a reader to share a regular 'Cocktail of the Week' feature, including classics, reinventions of familiar favourites and some crazy concoctions unique to Nub News.

Josh, a regular reader and cocktail connoisseur, has made a really special cocktail this week. So read on to find out how to make the adult-only 'Spiced Coffee'...

Ingredients: 

  • 25ml coffee
  • 25ml dark rum
  • 25ml spiced rum
  • splash orange bitters
  • splash grapefruit juice
  • cinnamon and sugar

Method:

  1. add all of your liquids to a shaker and shake to form a foam
  2. shake again with ice to chill
  3. strain into a glass with ice
  4. add a tsp of cinnamon and sugar to your grapefruit slice
  5. use a blow torch to caramelise and add to your drink as garnish
  6. sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar
