Oakham Nub News has joined forces with a regular reader to share a 'Cocktail of the Week' feature - only this January, we are doing a Mocktail of the Week to help those of you tackling Dry January this New Year.

This week, Josh is bringing you a family-friendly version of a popular tipple, the Espresso Martini.

This cocktail is a classic and is easy to make and guarantees keeping you lively on those sober nights out.

Ingredients:

  • 75ml cold coffee
  • 25ml sugar syrup
  • 25ml maple syrup

Method:

  1. brew a strong coffee - instant or espresso machine coffee will work
  2. add all of your ingredients to a shaker and shake for 30 seconds
  3. add ice and shake again for 20 seconds or until chilled
  4. strain into a martini or coupe glass
  5. garnish with coffee beans if you have them

Check back next week for another Mocktail of the Week, shared each Friday to get the weekend started this January.

Alternatively, take a look at last week's mocktail feature here.

Share your own feature by clicking the 'Nub It' button at the top of the News page.
