Oakham Nub News has joined forces with a regular reader to share a 'Cocktail of the Week' feature - only throughout January, we are doing a Mocktail of the Week to help those of you tackling Dry January this New Year.

This week, Josh is bringing you a fruity alcohol-free cocktail using ingredients you will find around your kitchen.

The Passionfruit Pop is sweet and citrus-y, with a drop of vanilla essence to make it taste a bit more like a Pornstar Martini.

Ingredients:

  • 50ml orange juice
  • 20ml lemon juice
  • drop of vanilla essence
  • lemonade or soda to top up - use as much as you like depending on your preference

Method:

  1. add the orange juice, lemon juice and vanilla essence to a shaker
  2. shake with ice until chilled
  3. pour into a martini glass or tumbler
  4. top up with lemonade, or soda if you don't like it so sweet
  5. garnish with half a passionfruit

Check back next week for another Mocktail of the Week, shared each Friday to get the weekend started this January.

Alternatively, take a look at last week's mocktail feature here.

Share your own feature by clicking the 'Nub It' button at the top of the News page.
