Some of the acts set to perform at Cutts Close for Oakham Town Council's music in the park series have been confirmed.

Despite objections to a number of live music events in the public green space last year - meaning that community use of the bandstand has been limited - Oakham Town Council will be returning to Cutts Close to host free music events for the community this summer.

A Rutland favourite, The Houndogs, have been confirmed. The rockabilly trio of talented brothers will be performing on 16 June 2024 from 2:30 - 4:30pm.

Last time they play at the bandstand, despite torrential downpours at the end of the set, the park was packed with families all grooving to the beat.

Rock band Dazed & Confused have also been confirmed, and will be performing on 4 August. They will bring a host of 80s and 90s rock hits to the crowds.

The Atomics have also been confirmed, and will be playing from 2pm on 30 June.

Oakham Town Council have also confirmed that a D-Day event to mark 80 years since the landings will take place as a part of the summer live music series.

This will take place on 9 June from noon until 5pm, with music provided by Alan Jackson, a vintage soloist, and Marlow & Smith, a local cover duo.

The live music events are free and see vendors such as GRIFF's Pizza and The Grainstore serving food and drinks too.
