Half Term Fun at Rutland Farm Park

Rutland Farm Park have absolutely loads going on this February Half Term, making it the ideal day out for animal lovers young and old.

The farm park is open all week between 15th and 23rd February from 10am until 4pm (last entry at 3pm).

They have an incredible selection of activities to get stuck into, including: a scavenger hunt across the farm, Valentine's-themed arts and crafts in their pigsty, guinea pig cuddles, pony grooming, donkey and goat treat feeding, and the opportunity to experience the feeding of the pigs' brunch and cows' lunch.

They are also celebrating Valentine's Day at the farm with 2 for 1 entry on Friday 14th to Sunday 16th February, allowing you to enjoy the perfect day out with your partner, family or friend.

Stardust Circus at Victoria Hall

On Monday 17th February at 3pm, Stardust Circus will be performing at Victoria Hall in Oakham. With tickets costing £9.50 and under 3s going free.

Combining "side-splitting humour with all the fun, magic and entertainment of the big top," Stardust Circus promises a hilarious show for kids and adults featuring magic illusions, slapstick comedy and award-winning showmanship.

Half Term Holiday Club with Rutland Outdoor Education Centre

Open to children aged 5 to 12, Rutland Outdoor Education Centre is running a Holiday Club between 17th and 21st February between 9am and 3.30pm.

Costing £45 per day, this holiday club offers a great selection of activities including: meeting animals, campfire cooking, bushcraft, den building, pond dipping and lots of games.

This is ideal for working parents, parents who need a breather during the holidays or families with kids that love getting stuck in.

Family Nest Box Building with Anglian Water

Anglian Water are running a nest box building workshop at the Bird Watching Centre in Egleton, Oakham on 18th February.

In this family friendly workshop, you will work together to create your very own nest box to take home.

All materials are provided and ready to assemble in our classroom. Sessions last around 3 hours and costs £20 per hour for up to 4 people (suitable for children aged 6+ and all under 18s must be supervised by an adult).

Family Beginner Nation Walk at Lyndon Nature Reserve

Join the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust team at Rutland Water for a 3-hour nature walk, perfect for taking in some fresh air, learning about birdwatching and exploring the great outdoors.

During the walk, you will visit a variety of nature hides and learn about the fascinating animals that live on the nature reserve, including birds, insects and plant life.
