Oakham Town Council are seeking two new members to fill the North East and South Ward vacancies following the resignation of former Oakham Mayor and Town Councillor, Zoë Nealson.

Zoë Nealson resigned from Oakham Town Council following a heated moment between herself and Cllr Adam Lowe at the council meeting of the 7 December 2022.

During the meeting, Cllr Lowe told Mrs Nealson, "Don't lie", following a disagreement about the Centenary Field skatepark proposal vote.

Read her resignation letter here.

Prior to this resignation, there was already one seat up for grabs on Oakham Town Council, meaning that the team are now looking to fill 2 of the 12 seats on the council.

Seats are available for the North East Ward and the South Ward.
