Rutland-based haulier have been taking on more apprentices as part of their business operations.
Now, the apprentices are sharing their conversations on what it is like to undertake an apprenticeship for National Apprenticeship Week
C S Ellis at South Luffenham have been operating for over eight decades, and in that time, they've employed many apprentices who have gone on achieve fantastic things with C S Ellis and with other businesses respectively.
The latest interview released is with LGV Driving Apprentice Dominic Hurr, who says: "Since leaving school, I never really knew what I wanted to do. (With C S Ellis) I've actually found my passion and my calling at 28 years old. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do, but I'm so happy now."
Dominic joined C S Ellis in October 2019 and has since been working towards his final apprenticeship exam and also towards gaining a Class 2 / Category HGV license.
"For anyone considering applying for an apprenticeship, I say go for it. It's a different way of learning. There are more opportunities, much more than just the apprenticeship that you see initially." Says Dominic.
C S Ellis has now revealed that Dominic has since gained his Class 2 HGV license, which is fantastic news!
The group have also recently taken on two new LGV Apprentices to follow in Dominic's footsteps. James Buckler-Shurmer and Chris Marris will be engaging in a training programme which will result in them being awarded a Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
