Leicestershire and Rutland have put out a request for help with their investigation after a motorcyclist was tragically killed in a serious collision on the A606 Melton Road in Langham yesterday (Sunday 2 March).

The collision, which took place at around 10am, involved a black Nissan Terrano and a Paiggo PX Motorcycle. There were two people on the motorcycle at the time. The rider, a man in his 50s, was fatally injured by the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a woman in her 50s, was taken to hospital with injuries, none of which are life-threatening.

The man driving the car was in his 80s and was not injured.

The A606 was closed for most of the day, with police investigating the collision. The closures were lifted last night (2nd March) but police are appealing to the public for anyone who was in the area yesterday morning and witnessed the collision, as well as anyone who may have relevant dash cam footage.

If you think you may have relevant information that could help the investigation, contact Detective Constable Adam Bancroft on 101 or online, quoting incident number 208 on Sunday 2nd March.
