Cash boost for Uppingham First

By The Editor 17th Nov 2020

Uppingham First has received a £3,623 cash boost from the government.

The community partnership will receive this funding through the Coronavirus Community Support Fund so it can continue their work supporting the community.

The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport has led work to secure this funding and oversee its delivery.

Rutland MP Alicia Kearns, who is a Private Parliamentary Secretary within the DCMS has also worked to secure the funding.

Mrs Kearns said: "2020 has been an unrelentingly challenging year of disruption for our local charities at a time when our communities have relied on them more than ever.

"I am proud to have worked on such a comprehensive support package that will bolster Uppingham First in carrying out their outstanding work supporting all corners of Uppingham's community."
