Maizie Whitbread, 12, from Rutland has been selected to compete in the International Dance Federation Championships in Lithuania this May 2023, and is seeking sponsorship to help take her all the way.

Maizie, a student at Catmose College, has been dancing at the Rochelle Holmes Dance Academy, Ketton for 4 years, and this year has been selected, alongside 55 other young dancers from across the country, to represent Team England at the International Dance Federation Championships in Lithuania.

To cover the costs associated with the trip, including flights, food, accommodation and costumes, Maizie and her dedicate dance family are seeking sponsorship from local groups and businesses interested in supporting a young dancer as she represents her country.

Maizie's sponsors will have their group, business, or establishment name printed on an England flag that Maizie will take with her and display on this international platform.

Maizie will be performing 3 solo dances, Lyrical, Acro and Modern, and has even been invited to join the Bethany Lauren Dance Company in their Contemporary group dance.

Maizie's mum, Kirsty, said: "I am so proud of her and would like to thank her dance teacher, Rochelle. She is so good and has utter belief in Maizie."

Those interested in sponsoring Maizie can contact Kirsty on [email protected].
