Celebrity chef to give cooking masterclass in Rutland

A celebrity chef renowned for her live-fire cooking will be visiting Rutland in what promises to be an exciting event for all Oakham food lovers.
Chef and author Genevieve Taylor will be calling at Rutland Nursery on 19 May 2026 for an engaging talk and live demonstration.
She'll be celebrating her renowned book How to BBQ – The Definitive Guide to Fire Cooking, offering inspiration and hands-on insight into the art of cooking with fire.
Genevieve will be sharing her expertise and techniques, bringing her 20-plus years of experience to bear at this lovely venue by Rutland Water.
The evening is designed for all levels of experience, from beginners to seasoned outdoor cooks.
Attendees can look forward to complimentary wine, plus nibbles inspired by How to BBQ. Then will follow the main talk, an audience Q&A, and a book signing session.
Further still, there will be three 'golden tickets' hidden in selected copies of How to BBQ purchased either in advance or on the night, entitling a select few lucky winners to a YETI Roadie 15 Cool Box in 'Rescue Red'.
Genevieve Taylor has 14 published cookery books, and is widely regarded as one of the UK's leading authorities on fire cooking.
Her extensive collaborations across the UK and internationally, alongside partnerships with major industry organisations, further underscore her influence in the field.
Doors open at 6.30pm, with the talk starting from 7pm.
Tickets start from £25 for entry, or £50 for entry plus a copy of How to BBQ and a YETI travel bottle.
