Christmas message from Oakham Nub News
Dear readers,
Firstly, I'd like to thank you for your support this year. Without our readers and our community, we wouldn't exist and the constant support from Oakham residents, businesses, organisations and community groups is incredible.
As some of you are aware, I joined Nub News in September and I have been so thoroughly welcomed by the people of Oakham. I have fallen in love with the county over again and have had great opportunities to work with and highlight the brilliant residents that give this place such a strong community feel.
This year has been great, but we have strong aspirations for next year. I hope to work with more local businesses, charities and organisations to keep publishing good news stories and articles that discuss things that really matter to people in and around Oakham. For me, working with Jinky's Bar, Pepper's A Safe Place and Prickleback Urchins Hedgehog Rescue have been highlights of the year, using our platform to give back to the community and support local causes.
As always, please keep sending in YOUR news stories by our 'Nub It' form and advertise your events for free on our 'What's On' page. If you're not already, subscribe to our newsletter and mailers here, with a weekly news run-down, events and local jobs. There is also the opportunity for businesses to advertise on our jobs board for a small fee.
You can also get in touch with your own news stories by dropping me an email at [email protected]
Wishing you all a magical Christmas, however you chose to celebrate it, and a happy, healthy New Year!
