The annual Walk of Witness will take place in Oakham on Good Friday from 10.30am, beginning at the Chapel of St John and St Anne in St Anne's Close.

The Walk of Witness is a religious event where Christians of different denominations walk together in a silent procession as a display of their faith and recognise their loss by imitating Jesus Christ's journey through Jerusalem ahead of his crucifixion. Hot cross buns are usually given out throughout the event to mark the event.

The Oakham procession will start from the Chapel of St John and St Anne at 10.30am, walking through the town. A short service will be held at the Buttercross in Market Place at approximately 11am.
