The James Richards Circus will be making its annual visit to the Rutland Showground this October half-term.

The team, headed up by Marymay and James Richards, are bringing a brand new show to audiences in Rutland as they get ready to visit the last venue of their 2023 tour this month.

Proprietors, Marymay and James, respectively come from one of the largest and one of the smallest circus families in the UK. Growing up in the special world of the circus, both of them had fresh ideas for their own show. As partners, they've combined their experience and wide-ranging ideas to create an attractive family production, entertaining audiences in smaller communities at affordable prices.

Marymay and James first toured their own circus in 2018. With an emphasis on quality and value, they improve and polish the show each year while promising to always maintain the intimacy of its small size.

Over these six years on the road, the couple have assembled an excellent team who help produce the performance and have taken what you are about to see to the next level.

While this year's show is bursting with new acts and talent, the team promise that they "haven't strayed from our mandate of providing fantastic family orientated live entertainment at affordable prices."

"This year Shop and Support Rutland customers can use their loyalty card to purchase tickets across the weekend for a discounted price of just £8!

"We are very proud to call Rutland our home and appreciate a strong high street promotes a strong community."

Performances will take place from Wednesday 25 to Sunday 29 October, coinciding with half-term, promising affordable family fun while the schools are out.

The on-site box office will be open daily, two hours prior to each performance from 25 October onwards, or tickets can be bought online, where you can also find out the days and times of the seven chances to catch this highly rated travelling circus.

Don't forget, you can use your Shop and Support Rutland Loyalty Card to purchase tickets directly from the box office.

Meanwhile, the first winners of the Shop and Support Rutland Scheme have been announced:
