By Guest 11th Mar 2022

Earlier this week, the team at Rutland Refill Community Interest Company hosted a Cake and Coffee Day with the hopes of raising money to support Ukraine and the refugees fleeing war.

Now today, Thursday the 10th of March 2022, they have announced that they have raised a whopping £243.75 so far, with donations still being accepted.

The team said: "Thank you to everyone for supporting us in raising money for the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) to help the people in Ukraine.

"Together we ate cake and raised £38.49!

"Rutland Refill also donated 50% of its takings on coffees the week commencing the 28th of February, raising £99.26.

"Our wonderful customers donated into our jar for Ukraine, raising £57.25.

"These incredible efforts amount to a total of £243.75 raised for the Ukraine, including gift aid donated today, on Thursday the 10th of March 2022."
