9th Oct 2020 | Local News

A popular pub in Oakham closed today after a member of its staff tested positive with coronavirus.

The announcement was made on the Facebook page of The Admiral Hornblower earlier this afternoon.

The pub at 64 High Street commented: "We have just been informed that a part time member of staff has tested positive for COVID-19, to ensure we keep our customers and staff safe we shall be shutting the pub and having a deep clean prior to reopening on Monday 12th October.

"All staff members who were in close contact will self-isolate in accordance to NHS guide lines.

"We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but we shall always put everyone's health and safety first.

"See you soon. Hornblower Team."
