Coronavirus crisis: Online entertainment events to help Uppingham cope with lockdown

Online entertainments are planned for Uppingham to help residents cope with the pandemic.
Coordinators leading the town's community response to the Covid-19 lockdown have acknowledged thesustained Covid-19 lockdowns are causing a toll on mental health and that the creative arts may offer some relief.
The co-ordinators have joined with community partners to launch what is intended to be a number of entertainment events intended to lift the spirits of residents obliged to stay at home.
A statement posted on the Uppingham website confirmed: "The Uppingham Community Emergency Plan team is to collaborate with Uppingham Neighbourhood Forum, local good neighbour scheme UppWatch, Community Partnership Uppingham First and local Residents Associations, to mount a series of online events led by local artists and musicians."
The first event is on February 14th Valentines Night, and features live music from local band, The Roamantics (pictured). Studio Manager will be Danny Hern of Rocky Road Music.
