Rutland has so few confirmed cases of Coronavirus, they don't show on the map!

This is highlighted by the UK government publishing more detailed information showing a breakdown of COVID-19 cases at a local level.

From Thursday July 16, weekly mapping that shows the distribution of confirmed cases of COVID-19 within individual Upper Tear Local Authority (UTLA) areas https://www.coronavirus-staging.data.gov.uk/cases [L+] can be viewed online. '[L]

As of Thursday July 16, the total number of confirmed cases in Rutland is 92. There have also been 23 COVID-19 related deaths recorded in Rutland up to week ending July 3 2020.

Councillor Oliver Hemsley, Leader of Rutland County Council, said: "Although we are continuing to see a comparatively low number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Rutland, we need to remain cautious and continue to follow the guidance that has helped people to stay safe.

"This is important advice for everyone, including younger people, as we head into the summer holiday period. We must all continue to take care of ourselves and each other."

A statement from Rutland County Council issued yesterday added that the UK government's mapping of coronavirus (COVID-19) positive cases by Middle Super Output Area (MSOA) in England divides Rutland into five geographical areas:

Oakham East

Oakham West, Langham and Whissendine

Uppingham, Lyddington and Braunston

Ketton, Ryhall and Luffenham

Market Overton, Cottesmore and Empingham

Based on the latest available data (6 to 12 July), there are currently fewer than three confirmed cases of COVID-19 in each of these five areas. This is shown on the map's key as 'Data Supressed', because the numbers are so low., the statement added
