Coronavirus crisis: Rutland office extension plan for 'social distancing'

28th May 2020 | Local News

A Rutland business is seeking to erect a portable (modular) office/ rest room to provide "adequate social distancing to existing staff working on the site."

Paul Chenery of Rutland Biodynamics wants the 65m2 building to go up by his existing 1,022m2 premises at Town Park Farm, Brooke.

Rutland Biodynamics employs 14 staff which process and sell herbal medicines which are grown mainly on the farm.

In his planning application to Rutland County Council, Mr Chenery says the new building would have a flat roof and be sited as close as possible to, and below eaves level of the existing building.

It would also be dark green in colour and its appearance further enhanced with trellises and climbing plants.

It would be sited on jack legs for levelling and no ground works required, his application also said.
