More than a quarter of people registered with the Rutland Primary Care Network have now had their second vaccine.

In an update on Friday, Rutland Health said it had delivered 27700 vaccinations in the county and passed the milestone of 10000 second vaccinations.

It meant more than 25% of patients registered with the PCN's four practices are now fully vaccinated.

Furthermore, 99% of second vaccinations were delivered within the 84 day recommended interval.

The update said: "A tremendous thanks to all the practice staff, vaccination centre staff and volunteers who have made this happen."

This week, starting from May 10, Rutland Health will be running 4 days of PfizerBioNtech clinics, for first doses or second doses for those who received their first dose on 24th/25th February.

With first doses, Rutland health is now inviting cohort 10 – everyone aged over 40.

The update added: "Our priority is to avoid vaccine wastage, so we will keep inviting people by decreasing age until these clinics are filled. If you receive an SMS invitation from us to book an appointment please do so as soon as you can to secure your place."

Further details of the vaccine roll-out at Rutland Health can be found here.
