Coronavirus crisis: Rutland reports an extra case as death toll slows
Rutland continues to remain the fourth best performing district in the country, concerning tits number of confirmed cases of coronavirus.
NHS England this afternoon reported one extra case for Rutland, giving it 26 cases in total, equivalent to 65.5 cases per 100,000 of population.
This rate compared to the overall rate for England of 244.5 cases per 100,000 from its 136,873 cases.
Across much of Greater Lincolnshire and nearby districts, no new cases were recorded today.
Furthermore, Lincolnshire's total was revised downwards by one to 916, which is equivalent to a rate of 121.2 cases per 100,000 of population.
Melton remains on 56 (109.6 per 100,000).
North Kesteven is on 121 (104.3).
Peterborough remains on 295 (146.7).
South Holland has 132 cases (140.5)
South Kesteven remains on 145 (102.2).
There have been three further coronavirus-related deaths in Greater Lincolnshire recorded today (Monday, May 11).
They include one at United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust facilities, bringing their total to 118.
A spokesperson for ULHT said the patient was a man aged 90 who had underlying health conditions.
Two further deaths were also been recorded at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals, bringing the total there to 82.
This brings the total deaths in Greater Lincolnshire Hospitals to 203.
Across the UK, the number of deaths today increased by 210, again its lowest daily increase since March. The death toll now stands at 32,065.
