Cottesmore Hunt have raised nearly £600 at their Cottesmore Kennels Open Day.

On 18 June, the Cottesmore Hunt hosted a fundraising open day to raise funds for the Air Ambulance with the help of their members and support from the local public.

At the event, they held a community Bake Off, family dog show, kennel tours, heavy horse and logging demonstrations and terrier racing. There was also a tombola, stalls, dog agility, tea and sponsorship opportunities.

The event helped to raise nearly £600 for Rutland's local Air Ambulance service.

The Air Ambulance Service flies across the counties of Warwickshire, Northamptonshire and Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland, covering 3850 square miles to help and support those who have experienced a medical emergency.

They are not funded, so rely on fundraising events such as these to keep providing the invaluable service they do.

Recently, the Cottesmore Hunt team also hosted a talk with Andrew Osborne, a local man who rowed across the Atlantic in memory of his daughter, while raising funds fro Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).

They shared the news on their social media: "We were recently lucky enough to host an amazing evening with a talk from Andrew Osborne, who recounted some of his adventures when rowing the Atlantic. This enabled us to donate over £250 to the incredible charity for Cardiac Risk in the Young."
