Rutland garden that raised over £10,000 for charity following TV appearance opens once more
Last month, a Rutland Garden appeared on ITV's 'Love Your Garden' prior to opening to the public as a part of the National Garden Scheme.
This helped the local garden draw the crowds and raise over £10,000 for charity.
Following this success, the garden will be opening again this week.
The Old Vicarage in Burley enjoyed a visit from Alan Titchmarsh as he filmed 'Love Your Garden' for ITV. Following this celebrity visit, the garden opened to the public in support of the National Garden Scheme, who encourage and enable people across the nation to open their gardens to the public and raise money for charity through entrance fees and donations.
The Rutland National Garden Scheme team shared their delight as the Burley garden welcomed 100s of visitors at the last open day and raised thousands for the nursing and health charities supported by the National Garden Scheme.
They said: "Did you see the amazing news that when The Old Vicarage, Burley opened last month they raised more than £10,000 for the National Garden Scheme in one day and welcomed more than 760 people to the garden?
"The garden is open again for a very special evening opening this week."
The garden will be opening again this week, on Wednesday 28 June from 5 - 8:30pm.
Adult entrance costs £6, and children go free.
There will be the usual refreshments, including wine, up for sale to raise further funds, as well as plants for sale too.
