Oakham School have put out a message to the local community that they will be letting off fireworks this week.

The Oakham-based independent school will be hosting their leavers' ceremony on Friday 30 June, and are working hard to let local people, particularly pet owners, know that the ceremony will include a short fireworks display.

The ceremony and fireworks will take place on Doncaster Close, adjacent to the school's sports centre.

The fireworks will start at around 10:30pm will last for approximately 10 minutes. They will "definitely be over before 11pm", according to a spokesperson from the school, who added: "We're doing our best to contact as many people as we can in advance, so that people – particularly pet owners and farmers – aren't taken by surprise. We aim to be a good neighbour!"

The fireworks will take place at 10:30pm on Doncaster Close, Oakham.

Spread the word and let your neighbours know ahead of the celebration event for the class of 2023.

Congratulations to the students who are taking the next step into their adult lives.
