Digital Day in Oakham to help Rutland patients get online

A free Digital Day is being held at Rutland County Council's offices in Oakham next week, showing people how to access local GP and primary healthcare services online.

The event has been organised by Rutland's Primary Care Network and runs from 9am until 3.30pm on Tuesday, 11 February.

It is open to anyone who would like learn more about accessing local healthcare services via the internet.

Experienced staff will be on hand throughout the event to answer any questions and teach useful skills, including

· How to use your GP surgery's website

· How to book a doctor's appointment online

· How to order repeat medication for someone you care for

Anyone wanting to set up online access to their local GP services will need to provide a form of identification, such as a driving licence, passport or a utility bill showing their name and address.

There will also be a chance to meet other health and wellbeing services that offer support to people living in Rutland.

Using GP services online can save time by making it quicker to book appointments, get prescriptions and view test results.
