Severn Trent Water is carrying out emergency repairs to part of its water network along the A6003 Burley Park Way - Oakham bypass - today (Weds).

The work is to repair a significant water leak near to the Stamford Road/A606 roundabout.

Due to the location of the main and the repairs that are needed, this work can only be done safely under four-way traffic lights.

This may result in significant traffic delays.

Rutland County Council, which has given permission for the work to be undertaken, is advising drivers to try and find alternative routes or allow extra time to complete their journey if they are using this route.
