A local pub is getting ready to host a doggy Halloween party this weekend - all in aid of our furry, four-legged friends across the county and country.
The Plough in Greetham will be hosting a dog party this Saturday, 28 October, celebrating the spooky season and with the aim of raising money for Mutts Nutts Rescue.
Mutts Nutts Rescue is a charity organisation that the team have supported before, being a pub full of dog-lovers themselves. The charity works with individuals and their families to secure a safe and happy future for beloved companion pets.
As such, the team at The Plough, headed up by Landlord Pete, will be attempting to raise as much money as possible with games and activities for the dogs and a fancy dress competition for both male and female dogs - as well as beer, food and great company.
Join the fun from 2pm until 5pm at The Plough, Main Street, Greetham.
The team, who regularly host animal-friendly events, and have raised money for the likes of National Military Working Dogs Memorial UK, pride themselves on being "possibly one of the most dog-friendly pubs in Rutland".
The pub also has rabbits and a flock of budgies at the pub, so pop down to meet the team. They don't bite - and neither do the animals!
