Dog walkers have been warned of an oil spill that has spread into the eyebrows near Wardley.

The oil spill, of unknown origins, has spread into the ground and undergrowth alongside the Wardley road. As such, dog walkers have been warned to keep their pets out of the immediate area incase of ingestion or damage to skin and fur that could cause harm to the animal.

A eyebrow is an area, usually grass or wetland, located adjacent to a serving road, often with space serving as a vehicle turnaround.

The assumption at this stage is that a vehicle stopped due to engine issues and leaked oil into the road, turning bay, and eyebrows alongside the Wardley road.
