A drugs and alcohol support group has held its first session of 2024, supporting Rutland residents who may be struggling with addiction.

Central UK CA (Cocaine Anonymous) is a group of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with the aim of recovering from addiction to drugs and alcohol.

The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop using cocaine and all other mind-altering substances.

There are no fees for membership and the group is fully self supporting through contributions. They are not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation, or institution.

The primary purpose of the organisation is to "stay free from cocaine and all other mind-altering substances, and to help others achieve the same freedom."

The group had their first meeting of the year last night, Tuesday 9 January 2024.

They meet ever Tuesday night from 7:30pm until 8:30pm at Oakham Baptist Church, Melton Road, Oakham.
