Extra bin collections in Rutland tomorrow after snow caused disruption

12th Feb 2021 | Local News

Winter weather has disrupted bin collections in Rutland this week, forcing the council to run extra collections tomorrow.

A spokesman said on social media: "Our crews are managing to reach towns and villages, but are struggling to complete collections in full because of icy conditions on some narrow side streets.

"This is making it difficult for crews to catch up in some areas.

"However, they will keep going and extra collections are planned on Saturday. This includes farms and lodges collections."

They added: "If your bin has been missed this week please leave it out and we will be back for it."
