Famous faces appearing at this weekend’s Rutland Flower Show

The first Rutland Flower Show is taking place at Rutland County Showground from 15th to 17th August and they have put together a packed three days perfect for flower enthusiasts and budding gardeners.
The event will include: floral competitions, skilled artisans selling and demonstrating their work, celebrity gardeners talks and advice, live music, garden and plant shopping, arts and crafts, children's play garden and so much more.
The Flower Show will bring together all the area's Flower and Garden clubs, organisations and public to showcase Rutland's floral and horticultural delights.
A number of famous faces will be making an appearance, such as Adam Frost's BBC Gardeners World.
Frost has won seven gold medals at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, loved for his honest, no-nonsense approach to gardening and how it helps his mental health and well-being. He will be giving a talk on Saturday in the Garden Theatre, where copies of his new book For the Love of Plants: Over 150 Plants to Bring Joy to Your Garden and Your Life will be available to purchase and get signed.

Nick Hamilton will be making an appearance in the Garden Theatre on Friday, who took over Barnsdale Gardens from his late father. He has also appeared on BBC2's Gardeners' World, published two organic gardening books, as well as regularly writing for several magazines.
On Friday 15th, there will also be appearances from Joe Bagley (the Houseplant Doctor), Ish Kamran (Tiktok – Gardening with Ish), David Stevens (Legenday Garden Designer), Andrew Mikolajski (Author of over 40 gardening books), Jody Knapp (Medical Herbalist) and Sue Hodgson.

Alongside Adam Frost, on Saturday 16th, Cara Thompson (Make It Flourish), Bex Edwards (Tiktok – Bex Edwards Gardening), Ben Cross (British Flowers Rock!), Mick Poultney (The Compost King) and more will be in the Garden Theatre.
Finally, on Sunday 17th, Matthew Wilson (BBC R4 Gardeners' Question Time) will be in the Garden Theatre with Andrew Key (NAFAS), Yvette Smith (Lecturer and Garden Designer) and more.
There will also be flypasts by the Battle of Britain memorial flight, arts, crafts, food and drink, competitions, over 200 exhibitors, kids activities and a live BBC Radio 4 recording.
