A fire at 10 Dining Street has forced the team to shut up shop until further notice.

The New Street venue closed last week following a fire above the shop, and the team have announced that the restaurant and takeaway will be "closed until further notice".

This is disappointing for local foodies, who enjoy the "fusion dining were East meets west. From the streets of Mumbai to the streets of London. We cater for everyone's needs, whether you are a vegan or if you have a special dietary needs. Our chefs have created dishes using recipes from old colonial British raj to the modern day."

This is also devastating for the team who, last year, won a Travellers' Choice award from TripAdvisor, and saw the restaurant ranked among Oakham's Top 10 restaurants by Restaurant Guru.

Residents will surely be back when the venue opens, and have been sharing their support on social media.

One said, "We'll always be back" and another commented: "Please come back to us soon, it's my birthday soon and you're my first choice for a treat!"

The cause of the fire is unclear, but smoke and water damage meant that the venue had to close.

The team have not yet confirmed when they will be back.
