First Rutland Music Festival acts announced as tickets go on sale

The first acts joining the Rutland Music Festival 2023 line up have been announced.

The music festival will be taking place on 18, 19 and 20 August 2023 following a successful event of the same name in 2022, which hosted nearly 2000 visitors over 3 days.

Run by Carolyn Acton-Reed of Oakham & Rutland Events, the event will welcome live music, rides, games, food and drinks stalls and more.

On Friday 18 August the festival will play host to a Silent Disco, in which attendees will be given a set of headphones through which they can. listen to a live DJ, as well as two other channels playing a variety of tunes and hits.

On Saturday 19 August Vesper will be performing.

Finally, on Sunday 20 August, popular local band Funked Up will be playing following a break while their lead singer took part in solo gigs and travelled.

More acts are yet to be announced, with the festival taking place across three days:

Friday 7.30pm-10.30pm

Saturday 5pm-11pm

Sunday 2pm-7pm

Tickets cost £15 per person in purchased in advance, with under 16's going free following comments in 2022 that the event was not affordable for larger families.

Tickets purchased on the day will cost £18 per person. Parking will be free.

There will be no camping at this event despite discussions. Dogs will be welcome.

No alcohol will be brought in, and bag searches will take place.

The event is set to take place at Rutland Showground, LE15 7TW.
