For Rutland Good and New Clothes Sale a triumph with record-breaking funds raised

The Good and New Clothes Sale at Rutland Hall Hotel on 28th and 29th March broke a record amount of funds raised in the event's 60-year history.
The sale raised an incredible £53,000 with hundreds of shoppers getting their hands on beautiful, sustainable clothing items and accessories, raising vital funds for Citizens' Advice. The funds will go towards paying for two specialist advisors to support those living with long-term health conditions like dementia, cancer, MS and strokes.

Volunteers worked hard in the months running up to the sale and the success of the sale is a true comment of the work and dedication the team demonstrated.
The event was opened on Friday evening by BBC East Midlands Today presenter Anne Davies, who is a great supporter of For Rutland.

The chair of For Rutland, Jeannette Warner said: "We are absolutely delighted to raise such a huge amount; the two-day sale is now a much-anticipated Rutland tradition and is supported not just by our fantastic volunteers – thank you to them! - but also by local businesses and the wider community.
"We just couldn't achieve such an amazing result without them. I just want to say how very grateful we are for their continued support. The money will enable us to continue funding the For Rutland Advisers and the free advice service they deliver at Citizens Advice Rutland, which does such important local work."

The date of next year's sale has also been announced as Friday 27th and Saturday 28th March 2026.
